Nightmare Moon, also known as Princess Luna, is an antagonist in ABC's Once Upon a Time fanfiction Once Upon Another Time and Once Upon a Time: Elements and Magic
Nightmare Moon is based on Maleficent from the fairytale, "Sleeping Beauty."
History[]
She is an evil manifestation of Princess Luna, who grew jealous of her sister Celestia. However, nightmare Moon was defeated by the Mane Six and restored to Luna, who reconciled with Celestia. She is noticable for being the first villain in the series and the first enemy Twilight and the Mane Six face and later defeat with the elements of Harmony.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Alicorn Physiology: Nightmare Moon was an Alicorn with incredible power as a result.
- Magic: As with all Alicorns, Nightmare Moon was a highly adept magician and had incredible magical powers.
- Illusions: Nightmare Moon used her magic to create the Shadowbolts in order to try and make Rainbow Dash abandon her friends.
- Flight: Using her wings, Nightmare Moon could fly at high speed to anywhere she chose.
- Magic: As with all Alicorns, Nightmare Moon was a highly adept magician and had incredible magical powers.
- Lunar Magic - As a representation of Princess Luna, Nightmare Moon has complete control of the Moon. In an alternate reality, Nightmare Moon was the one who banished Celestia from Equestria and into the Moon. However since she was once the princess of the Night, Nightmare Moon was able to trap Celestia without the Elements of Harmony.
